Sammy Massiah
Biography
Chief Information Officer
Sammy is an IT leader, with 27 years experience of delivering business improving technology solutions for companies. He is currently Chief Information Officer at the University of Northampton, managing a large IT department and multi-million-pound budget. His is leading the delivery of new IT strategy that will use AI, data analytics, and virtual reality to improve the education provided to the students.
Outside of work he is married to Sheila, and they have three children. He runs the Balham Gospel and is Director of Music at the Balham SDA church. He also runs Quintessential, a gospel-jazz band, sings semi-professionally, runs a small recording studio and teaches piano.
Sammy left school with one GCE and does not have a degree. He worked his way up from IT support to IT Director through hard work and being willing to ‘see a need and meet a need’. He loves to teach, mentor and help others become all they were created to be.
